About Peter Penny
Peter takes a lifetime of experience running large agencies into helping brands, NGOs and other organisations tell stories in new ways, enabling them to connect, be heard and understood. In the past year Peter has travelled to Mumbai, Calcutta, and New Delhi to put the focus on child poverty, to Central Africa where he and his team joined UNICEF to create awareness around immunisation, to Lima to foster a better understanding around water usage and to Namibia to support cheetah conservation.
On his journey to the most majestic and desolate parts of the world, including the Arctic Circle and the world’s highest mountains, Peter began writing a book. “A Year with my Head in the Clouds” charts his travels after losing his wife to cancer, recounting insights and revelations that led him to reach higher, give more and rebuild a new life with new meaning.
Peter Penny is also Chairman of Connected Pictures, an independent production company that Peter founded with his son Adam Penny in 2002, with the specific intention to focus on the expanding communications landscape. Together they have produced and supervised Internal, B2B, B2C and consumer campaigns for global organisations in both the private and public sectors. In addition to its strength in the content market, Connected Pictures has had success in factual and factual entertainment for Channel 4, Sky One and BBC.
Connected Pictures is now successfully run by the active partnership of Adam Penny and Jon Ayres. www.connectedpictures.com
